How green i am?

Am aware of the damage humanity is doing to our planet. The main problem, in my opinion, it's that  people think there is nothing we can do, or they think that what they could do, doesn't really helps enough, so: Why should we bother?

The truth is that everything we do is related to our planet and we can make a huge change if we change some habits. People around us will get it, i'm sure some of them will start making the same actions.

(not mine, found on google images)
An awesome drawing. It contains most of the things we can do. (Not mine, copied from Google Images)

I have an enemy. I find it the worst thing ever created, and society has made it normal. People even do it proudly! I am talking about cigarettes. Factories and cars can make a lot of smoke, but, at least, they do it for a reason: people need some products, people needs to go from a place to other in the city. Smoking cigarettes is the worst thing because is something very childish, and publicity made it look like a sign of maturity, succes and class. It's bad for the environment because:

1. The smoke coming out from cigarettes, doesn't simply goes away. It contributes, with other gases, to destruction of the ozone. It also gets stuck in clothes, walls, or other places, and it keeps making bad to our health.

2. Cigarettes are made of paper. They had to cut trees to make them and for making the box too.

3. Smokers aren't really concerned about where the cigarette butt ends. It has many chemicals that won't deteriorate without harming the earth. they throw it in the street or anywhere, because they think it's normal, they don't see it as something gross, they wouldn't like to see me throwing boogers everywhere, don't they?!
Smokers need to grow up, i think. They can be people of success, sometimes very wise, sometimes they are aware of the damage they are doing. They have a lot of silly excuses. For example, they say that they started when they were dumb and young, and they are addicted now, that's why they can't stop. We can be addicted to many things, in fact, i think we could get addicted to everything that makes us feel good, the problem is that you may stop when it had become an habit that hurts other people. And cigarette does.
Almost everyone in my family is a smoker. My girlfriend smokes in parties. Many of my friends who used to think as me, started to smoke in parties and now they became smokers. One thing i do is explain those things to them. I wish they would listen more.

There are other tiny things i do to do my part. I ride a bike and a long board, i go on these every time i need to go somewhere and i can do it on it. I try to reuse the cans, the boxes and the plastic bags other people would just throw away. I work and live in the country on summers, i work with plants and i would like to fill it with trees.

We can help with the small decisions we take everyday, it isn't hard, you just have to start. You can be your hero.

"So far away" - Avenged Sevenfold- Music Video

When we were all teenagers, we discovered  many new things, inside us, and outside us, and suddenly the world can be fascinating, but it can also be dangerous and confusing. That's why we feel alone, even when we're surrounded by friends and family, but you may notice that no one understands life exactly how you do. In this state of mind, arts could be the answer, because they talk to you, as they don't command you to believe on anything, you are able to read the message anyway you want.

As many other teens, i discovered comprehension in music. I found in some bands, lyrics that seemed to come from my inner thoughts and not from the distant world. I came to find Avenged Sevenfold (meaning, as taken from the bible, "avenged seven times"). Five man from California, they started playing when they were attending to university on 1999. I grew up with them. Since 2006 i listened to every song of them, i even dreamed with knowing them someday, i tried to sing and scream like them, and felt like they were friends for me, they played for me and i heard his music for them. But eventually they changed and so did i.

And one day, my cousin, my friends (many of them started to listen Avenged Sevenfold) and i, we read the new : The Rev (James Owen Sullivan) was found dead in his house. He had cardiomegaly, it means that his heart was way too big (What a metaphoric disease, huh?). so he died of overdose, but not because of drug abuse, because those were medications. Avenged Sevenfold was recording his last album when this happened. It was a really sad time, not so long ago, on december 28th, back in 2009.

It was way more sad for the members of the band. they were all childhood friends, and The Rev, he always was a happy person, he always was doing jokes and making everyone laugh. That's why they loved him so much, and they released this video, later on may of 2012. The song was written by Synyster Gates (main guitarist) and it was a tribute to his friend.

the lyrics are so sad but beautiful. He spokes about how much they miss him, and how much he was always supporting him and he always will. He hopes his friend isn't all gone and tries to find him somewhere in his mind, in his memories.

Never feared for anything
Never shamed but never free
A life to heal the broken heart with all that it could

Lived a life so endlessly
Saw beyond what others see
I tried to heal your broken heart with all that I could

Will you stay?
Will you stay away forever?

How do I live without the ones I love?
Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned
Place and time always on my mind
I have so much to say but you're so far away

Plans of what our futures hold
Foolish lies of growing old
It seems we're so invincible
The truth is so cold

A final song, a last request
A perfect chapter laid to rest
Now and then I try to find
A place in my mind
Where you can stay
You can stay away forever

How do I live without the ones I love?
Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned
Place and time always on my mind
I have so much to say but you're so far away

Sleep tight, I'm not afraid (not afraid)
The ones that we love are here with me
Lay away a place for me (place for me)
'Cause as soon as I'm done I'll be on my way
To live eternally

How do I live without the ones I love?
Time still turns the pages of the book it's burned
Place and time always on my mind
And the light you left remains but it's so hard to stay
When I have so much to say and you're so far away

I love you, you were ready
The pain is strong and urges rise
But I'll see you, when He lets me
Your pain is gone, your hands untied

So far away (so far)
And I need you to know
So far away (so far)
And I need you to, need you to know

Visually, the video it's great, because it shows them when they were younger (of course, those boys are actors, BUT THEY SEEM SO LOOK A LIKE!), remembering every age they lived together. It also shows them playing sad. The vocalist, M. Shadows seems so much melancholic.
After this life resume, many real videos start to appear, and we can see how he was, how his friends remember him, as a fun guy, as a real close friend. I can feel it, i believe it, i feel their pain too. That's how this video makes me feel.

RIP foREVer.
